[Important] Justice Chandrachud disqualified for the post of Chief Justice of India. Writ Petition filed in the Supreme Court.

  Direct President’s office to not to administer oath to Justice D.Y. Chandrachud as Chief Justice of India. Also prohibit Justice Chandrachud from taking oath and assuming office of CJI. Petitioner in his Writ Petition prayed to the Supreme Court. Petition is filed by Shri M.A. Shaikh, Vice President of ‘Indian Lawyers and Human Rights Activists' Association’. Supreme Court Advocate Anand Jondhale is going to represent the petitioner and around 70 counsels from Indian Lawyers Association are going to assist him. In his 720 pages petition he, relied on the earlier precedent in the case of  Kumar Padma Prasad vs Union of India, (1992) 2 SCC 428 , where Supreme Court had quashed the appointment of High Court Judge. Petitioner also prayed prosecution of Justice D.Y. Chandrachud and others as per Section 340 of Criminal Procedure Code for offences of forgery and perjury.
